To keep up with the increasingly complex intra-school communications, a new method was needed to expand school affairs. In 1981, President Mao Gao-Wen began planning the computerization of school administration as soon as he took over the university. Since 1986, the center has been handling the development and maintenance of the academic information system for over 30 years. From a basic structure to the current hub of information exchange for the entire school, the information system at NTHU is moving toward its goal of accelerated development. The Academic Information System is closely tied to all school affairs. The center places equal importance to stability, performance, and practicality in developing all types of systems. All NTHU faculty, staff, and students, as well as the public can enjoy fast and efficient use of the system through web browsers.
